Think about including others in your planning as this radiates the excitement about your special day.
A nice touch is to take your mum and future mother-in-law shopping for their wedding outfits. (If they wouldn’t kill each other in the process)
Some department stores do a personal shopping service, rather like Trinny & Susannah (but with less of the touching and nasty comments) and in John Lewis, you can even combine your experience with champagne and chocolates. What could be more fun than that?
Gifts
A hat box is a great gift idea for your mums to store the hat they wore on your special day and it's much more original than the usual bouquet. Buy a set and you can even keep one for yourself to store those all important keepsakes such as your veil and tiara or even your underwear and garter.
I had such an enjoyable time planning and creating our wedding that after our magical day was over I wanted to share all the secrets behind the ‘magic’ with you. I hope that you will find some of my tips and ideas useful and I hope that every precious moment in the planning of your wedding fills you with delight and that you may savour all your hard work on your special day. Happy reading and thanks for taking a look.

About Me
- Bernadette
- Since I got engaged I got the wedding bug. I love all things to do with weddings, they make me go all giddy inside. After my wedding I expected this to go away but it didn't. If I had the courage to change my career I would love to be a wedding planner. This blog serves to provide me with my wedding 'fix'. One night on our honeymoon my husband looked up into the dark sky and said to me "The sky's clear tonight. There are no stars." I looked up, following his gaze and replied "There's one. One star shining bright". He looked at it said "That's for us". (Yes, it is me in the black 'n' white profile photo)
